UFC London: Marc Diakiese vs Joe Duffy

A fight between UFC Lightweight fighter Marc ‘Bonecrusher’ Diakiese and Ireland’s Joe Duffy is in the works for UFC London at the O2 Arena on March 16th.

Diakiese was originally scheduled to fight Stevie Ray at this event but on January 29th Ray pulled out of the fight. Diakiese, who will be fighting on his birthday at the event, will be looking to get back to winning ways in front of the UK crowd where he will be greeted by an amazing atmosphere. The Doncaster-based fighter will be looking to replicate his performance from the last time he stepped into the O2 Arena where he knocked out Teemu Packalén in devastating fashion, in just 30 seconds.

The English superstar is known for his elusive and explosive striking, with 50% of his wins coming via knockout.

‘Irish Joe’ Duffy is a Cage Warriors and UFC veteran at this point. He is 4-2 in the UFC with his only two losses coming against Top 10 ranked fighters in Dustin Poirier and James Vick, who are currently the #3 and #9 ranked best Lightweight’s in the world, respectively.

Both Diakiese and Duffy are coming off losses and will both be very hungry to get a ‘W’ back on their record. This is what will make this fight an absolute war. Can Diakiese celebrate his birthday in style with a KO win, or will Duffy stop the party? This one is one not to be missed!
